Practice Profile
Joanne has a broad civil and commercial practice with a focus on company and insolvency matters, contractual and tortious disputes, trust and land/property disputes, as well as cross-border dispute resolution. She regularly appears in courts both as sole advocate and as led junior. Her notable cases in company law and insolvency include China CITIC Bank Corporation Limited, Tianjin Branch & Ors v Pan Sutong & Silver Starlight Limited (HCB 6548/2021 & HCCW 295/2021). She has also been involved in cross-border and offshore litigation—including matters in the British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands—and has provided legal opinions for these proceedings. Since 2021, Joanne has served as a council member of the International Youth Legal Exchange Association, an organization dedicated to promoting legal and cultural exchanges among young people.
